Dear Students and Parents,
Each year, Ballet Hawaii involves our dance classes in a fundraiser
which has helped subsidize the purchase, rental, and repair of costumes
for our productions.
This year HonuGuide is helping non-profit organizations raise
money through the sale of a publication, which contains educational,
local resources for sustainable island and healthy living, and $4,000 in
savings ($45 in coupons at local grocery stores).
The guide is a great value for only $20 and Ballet Hawaii will
receive half of the proceeds.
We are asking each ballet student to sell a minimum of 5 books.
Prizes will be given to all students selling 5 or more books.
TOP PRIZES: There will be six top prizes for those
willing to sell more than 5 books. The winners are those that sell
the most. They may select one of the following depending on the number
sold.
□ Admission for 8 to Wet n Wild Water Park
□ Laser Tag/Mini Golf/Bowling for 12 at Rascals Family Fun
Center
□ Six VIP Tickets to Nutcracker
□ One semester tuition waiver for summer or fall
($125-$265 maximum)
□ Three thirty minute private lessons with Miss Pam
□ Gift certificate choice of Discount Dance Supply or Step
N Up ($200 value)
□ High Tea for 8 with family or friends at Tea at 1024 (a

WHY DO WE HAVE FUNDRAISERS? Ballet Hawaii is a non-profit
organization with an annual budget of $ 1.3 million, which includes the
productions we present to the community. The cost to put on
Nutcracker alone is $225,000. Since tuition and sales do not cover
our costs, we must raise approximately $450,000 from fundraisers, grants
and donations to our annual fund drive.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Each student will be issued 5 books to sell.
The ballet is responsible for all books distributed. All
unsold books must be returned by May 9th. Any money received should
be turned in to Gerry or Judy at Dole, Susan or Caitlin at Wahiawa and
Nataliya at Kapolei after the sale of 5 have been completed. For those
wishing to compete for the top prizes, additional books will be issued
as orders are turned in. Any checks received should be made out to
BALLET HAWAII.
