Craig Schulman, Cris Groenendaal and Kevin Gray--each of whom has
starred as "The Phantom of the Opera" on Broadway or in the national tour
of the hit Andrew Lloyd Webber musical--return to the Hawaii Theatre
September 12-14 for three performances only!
According to Schulman, this is the world premiere of "Three Phantoms
in Concert Return." The new musical program features solos, duets and
trios from classic Broadway shows ranging from "Guys and Dolls" to "
Les Miserables," "Miss Saigon," City of Angels," "Chicago," "Big River" and,
of course, "The Phantom of the Opera."
Joining the Three Phantoms will be Ballet Hawaii, performing "Masquerade,"
accompanied by Don Conover on the Hawaii Theatre's 1922 Robert Morton Theatre
Organ and percussionist William Wiley.
Schulman, Groenendaal and Gray will be accompanied by Sue Anderson, who has
served as music director for such Broadway musicals as "CATS" and who most
recently has conducted "Chitty, Chitty, Bang Bang" and "Spamalot" in New York.

3 Phantoms
After their sold-out engagement in 2006 and Kevin Gray's subsequent starring
as Scar in the long-running "Lion King" last year, audiences have
clamored for the show, so "The Three Phantoms Return!"

Schulman is a popular favorite from his engagements as Jean Valjean in
"Les Miserables" at the Blaisdell Concert Hall. Groenendaal, a veteran of
such Sondheim Broadway shows as "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the
Forum" opposite Nathan Lane and Whoopie Goldberg, "Sunday in the Park
with George" and "Passion," played the title role in
"Phantom" in both of
its 1990's runs at the Blaisdell. Gray not only has toured
internationally in "The Lion King" but also has starred in
"Miss Saigon"
and "The King and I."
The show is presented with sponsorship from Starwood Hotels & Resorts
Waikiki.
